Commission Composition and History
Today the composition of the Commission, is as follows:
Christodoulos Messis (as President)
Nataly Partasidou (lawyer from the private sector)
Yiannis Kalakoutas (psychiatrist from the government sector)
Nora Nicolaidou (as representative of the Attorney General)
Stelios Georgiades (as representative of the Psycholologists’ Association)
Georgia Georgiou (as representative of the Pancyprian Nurses’ Association )
Maria Karaoli (as representative of the Social Workers’ Association )
Secretarial duties is serving: Antonis Antoniou
In the Commission, the members of which are appointed for four years term, participate:
Two Lawyers, one of them is chosen from a list proposed by the Pancyprian Lawyer Association and the other one is a Lawyer of the Republic of Cyprus and is proposed by the Attorney General. From 1998, until today the following persons have served:
- Xenios Xenopoulos
- Apostolos Ntorzis
- Anthi Christofidou
- Alexia Kountouri
- Nataly Partasidou (lawyers from the private sector) And
- Nora Nicolaidou (as representative of the Attorney General)
Two psychiatrists, one from the private sector, chosen from a list proposed by the Pancyprian Medical Association and the other one chosen by the Minister of Health. From 1998, until today, the following persons have served:
- Takis Evdokas (as President)
- Christodoulos Mesis (as President) (both from the private sector) and
- Andreas Demetriou
- Yiannis Kalakoutas (from the government sector)
One Psychologist, is chosen from a list proposed by the Psychologists’ Association of Cyprus From 1998, until today, the following persons have served:
- Marina Theodorou,
- Annita Sophocleous
- Margarita Mouza
- Stelios Georgiades
One Nurse, is chosen from a list proposed by the Pancyprian Nurses’ Association. From 1998, until today, the following persons have served:
- Savvas Papaneocleous
- Georgia Georgiou
One Social Worker, is chosen from a list proposed by the Social Workers’ Association. From 1998, until today, the following persons have served:
- Maria Karaoli
One representative of Mental Health volunteers organizations, chosen from a list proposed by the interested organizations. From 1998, until today, the following persons have served:
- Andreas Agrotis
